AKC S.A.F.E. GROOMER is given to those who complete the safety course through AKC Canine college. Proof of safety guidelines and an exam are required.

PET CPR/FIRST AID CERTIFIED because the health and safety of your pet in my care is my top priority. Accidents happen and sometimes medical issues present themselves at inopportune times, and by being prepared I can avoid wasting precious seconds in response time.

GERIATRIC DOG CERTIFIED because as pets age, their needs will change and sometimes it's drastically. I'm up to date on the best techniques for gentle handling and common concerns older pets face with their skin and coat.

PUPPY CERTIFIED because a puppy's introduction to grooming can set them up for a lifetime of success when done carefully. I'm trained on each stage a puppy goes through as they mature as well as safe techniques and products to use.

DIFFICULT DOG CERTIFIED since I understand not every dog is accepting of the process and may need some emotional support and gentle reassurance. Sometimes a simple process just needs a calming presence to help them accept the groom, and I love being a part of that transformation.

FEAR FREE CERTIFIED since my relationship with the animals in my care is the most important thing to me, I wanted to take the extra step and learn techniques and tools for reducing stress for the process and even prevent anxiety and fear before it can begin.

FAMILY PET MEDIATOR CERTIFIED since our unique bonds with dogs through history can get lost in the things we see in social media. I've worked to learn how to help bring a better sense of communication and understanding with your dog and offer solutions based in science and history. (Working towards licensing.)

MODERN GROOMING PROFESSIONAL CERTIFIED through the accredited Whole Pet Grooming Academy. This course took me through business practices, skin and coat and the science behind the products, and also focused on behavior of the pet and working towards a calm and cooperative experience. These lessons reinforced that I am a humane pet care giver who offers hair trimming services.
